“Sustainable Digital Business” Workshop Brings Together Social Enterprises in Plovdiv

On 11 and 12 September 2024 in Plovdiv in the office of the European Digital Innovation Hub Trakia, coordinated by the Union for Private Economic Enterprise (UPEE), a “Sustainable Digital Business” workshop will be held. It is aimed at social enterprises, employees, representatives of registered social enterprises from the South Central Region (SCR), and other interested parties.

The event is another opportunity for representatives of small and medium-sized businesses to meet with experts in digitalization and cybersecurity to learn about the opportunities to access free cyber services through the Digital Innovation Hub Trakia. Just a few days ago, the experts from the Trakia Hub held four open lectures and workshops on “Ethical Hacking and Cybersecure Business”, “Digital Hygiene for All Ages”, “The New Cybersecurity Regulations”, “The Possibilities of AI”, within the Plovdiv City Festival – “Street Station” and the events were attended with great interest from the local public.

On the first day of the workshop, the main topic is “Basic Cybersecurity Knowledge and Practice”. The second day is dedicated to upgrading modules on using digital tools to support business.

To participate in the workshop, an online form should be filled in – https://forms.gle/VxhiwRoWn6EPqfUd6, and representatives of other companies from the South-Central Region with an interest in the social economy are able to join on the spot.

The Ministry of Labour and Social Policy (MLSP) Annual National Awards for Social Innovation in Support of the Social Economy will be presented to all attendees. The main objective of the competition is to promote the policies and good practices of social enterprises, cooperatives, educational and scientific institutions, and organizations that contribute to the development of the social economy and social entrepreneurship in Bulgaria.

The Regional Information Centre (RIC) – Plovdiv team will take part in the program with a short presentation of the newly opened procedure of the Technical Assistance Programme – “Active and competent civil society organizations for increasing the added value of the cohesion policy in Bulgaria”.

The event is part of the P41 project “Development of the Social Economy” from the National Plan for Recovery and Sustainability of Bulgaria, as well as the Cyber4AllSTAR project under the Digital Europe Programme of the European Commission and the SNIDIT 2021-2027 of the Ministry of Innovation and Growth, and is held in partnership with Holistic.bg
