On 26.11.24, the European Digital Innovation Hub “Trakia” (EDIH “Trakia”) together with the Institute of Public Administration (IPA) successfully implemented the first-ever training on cybersecurity, including work with Cyberpolygon and competition “Capture The Flag” (CTF). Twenty representatives of IT teams from various administrative structures participated and improved their skills in protecting critical information systems.
As a key partner in the initiative, EDIH Trakia provided an innovative training and expert support platform. Stanislav Atanasov, part of the hub team, configured the connection to the polygon and conducted the practical sessions, providing participants with a realistic and interactive environment to solve cyber challenges.
“The Cyberpolygon is a unique tool that combines theory and practice, providing professionals with valuable experience in a simulated environment. We are proud that together with IPA we are laying the foundations for a new generation of cyber security training,” said Mr. Atanasov.
In the coming weeks, the programme will be expanded to include 40 more participants, as EDIH Trakia and IPA will continue to work together to enhance cyber resilience in the public sector as part of their collaboration on the Cyber4AllSTAR project, funded by the European Commission’s Digital Europe Programme and the INIT 2021-2027.
