New agreement signed with the European Digital Innovation Hub Saxony

EDIH Trakia clients will have access to services offered by the German Hub

New cooperation agreement with the European Digital Innovation Hub Saxony with coordinator Institut für Angewandte Informa3k (InfAI) e.V. was completed, dated 24 March 2025.

This agreement is another step forward for Cyber4ALLSTAR/ EDIH Trakia in expanding cooperation agreements with other EDIHs and organisations in order to be able to offer services provided by them to Bulgarian SME and public services organisations. This access to technical expertise and following the “first test, then invest” model will enable them to improve production processes, products or services with the help of digital technologies. EDIHs also offer innovation services such as financing advice, as well as training and skills development, which are essential for successful digital transformation. Through a European network of EDIHs, companies and public organisations have access to a broad network across European Union.

Focused on a pan-European digitalization initiative, both EDIHs strive to enter into long-term cooperation in the sense of networking, knowledge transfer, sharing best practices and to support each other in their undertakings to digitalize the regional economy and administration.

The consortium of the EDIH Saxony consists of Institute for Applied Informatics (InfAI) e.V. in Leipzig (consortium leader), Smart Systems Hub in Dresden/Smart Systems Hub GmbH, Smart Infrastructure Hub in Leipzig/SpinLab Accelerator GmbH, Initiative simul+ at Saxon State Ministry for Regional Development. The EDIH Saxony aims to ensure the wide use of digital technologies – big data/AI, HPC, internet of things, blockchain, robotic, micro- and nanoelectronic and connectivity solutions such as 5G & WIFI6 (6G) – across the economy (especially SMEs) and administration and thereby making their products, processes, services and business models more efficient and competitive. The ultimate goal of the consortium is to foster digital innovation – build on the interactions of the sustainable development goals and cybersecurity. The consortium of EDIH Saxony focuses on digital applications in smart production, data mining, health, mobility, smart energy, smart living and smart building. All these fields of application in cooperation with each other contribute to the emergence of smart regions.

Services, offered by the hub are Knowledge transfer, Public sector innovation, Prototyping, Regional development, Technology transfer, SME support, Technological innovation, Field trial etc.. EDIH Trakia clients will have access to all of them.
